Arnis classes expanding
In August 2025, we are expanding our Arnis classes to include a Monday night class 630-8pm and Friday night class 7-830pm. Your instructor will be Mr. Michael Craig a Lakan Tatlo (Third Degree Black Belt) – Modern Arnis under GM Brian Zawilinski.
This class will be in our new training room. Age limited to students 14 years and older with parental and instructor approval.
Modern Arnis is the art created by the late Professor Remy Presas through his innovative method of teaching ancient arts with new life, connecting each of the systems and techniques to highlight their relationship to one another in a safe, fun, and effective way to learn both a beautiful martial art with a deep culture, and self-defense

We have two new classes starting in July on the 8th and 9th.
Our Little Tigers program for ages 4-7 years and our Teen Hapkido for teens that are not yet old enough for Hapkido.

New Martial Arts Class for Ages 4–7: Little Tigers

We’re excited to announce the launch of a brand-new class designed especially for children ages 4 to 7 — Little Tigers.
Classes will be held:
- Tuesdays & Thursdays: 5:30 – 6:00 PM
- Saturdays: 12:30 – 1:00 PM
This class will officially begin the first week of July, coinciding with the grand opening of our expanded facility!
Mrs. Mechinus and Mrs. Parker will lead the Little Tigers program, working together to ensure a low student-to-teacher ratio and an engaging, age-appropriate experience for every child.
If you’re still interested in enrolling, please let us know as soon as possible — space is limited to just 12 students.

Both Mrs. Mechinus and Mrs. Parker hold mulitple black belts in Hapkido and Taekwondo and also cross train in other martial arts styles. They are martial artists, teachers, and Mom’s.

Winter Storm Warning
Please pay attention to the weather forecasts and the upcoming school closings. We are under a Winter Storm Warning from Sun, 5 January at 7am until 1pm on Mon, 6 January. We are expecting mixtures or rain, ice, and snow and then very cold weather after. This will make travel hazardous and potentially dangerous.
Reminder, if the MCCSC schools are closed, then we also will be closed. We will plan to announce these on our Facebook account (Lee’s Martial Arts Bloomington).
